We long for good leaders in every part of our lives. Politicians, bosses, school principals, judges and business leaders. But even the best human leaders will always let us down. We need something better. This week we see from Deuteronomy 16:18-18:22 that God’s people need good leaders who love the Lord, obey his law and reflect his holiness. Only Jesus can fit this bill as our just judge, good king, faithful priest and true prophet.
